Last week, the entire University of Virginia’s School of Medicine celebrated GME Trainee Appreciation Week; and the Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging was no exception!
“We belong to an academic community for one big reason: to advance patient care through research and education,” wrote UVA Radiology Interim Chair Cree Gaskin, MD, and Vice Chair of Education Juliana Bueno, MD, in an email to the department’s trainees. “Without you, this would be an empty endeavor. You are the lifeblood of our department and one of the 3 pillars of our mission.”
Among the week’s festivities: special breakfasts, brunches, lunches, and happy hours; a rejuvenating therapy dog visit; and a party with snacks, photoshoots, and games, sponsored by the Keats Alumni Society.
