2026 Match Day Results Announced for UVA Radiology Residencies

Earlier this March we celebrated Match Day, the yearly event when medical students nationwide learn what residency they’ll be headed  – and when we learn which incoming residents will be joining the Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging at the University of Virginia.

This year, the slate of incoming residents was slightly larger for a special reason. UVA Radiology was recently approved to add 2 Diagnostic Radiology Residency spots for this year, in July 2026. As a result, we’ll be meeting these two new members in just a few months.

Meanwhile, a total of 8 residents matched into UVA’s Diagnostic Radiology Residency, and 3 residents matched into UVA’s Interventional Radiology Integrated Residency. These individuals will start in July 2027.

Read below for the matched residents’ names and schools. We’re excited for all of our new members of the UVA Radiology community!
