
The University of Virginia’s Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging has bolstered its standing among the top nationally-funded radiology research programs in the nation, according to a new analysis from the Blue Ridge Institute for Medical Research.
Earning over $3.4 million in NIH awards for the fiscal year 2025, UVA Radiology moved up to 42nd in the rankings – a jump from its placement of 51st in fiscal year 2024.
Meanwhile, UVA’s School of Medicine also saw improvement, climbing from 39th to 36th in the national rankings with more than $203 million in NIH awards in the fiscal year.
