How to schedule an exam

  • at the UVA Medical Center:
    You will need a prescription from your doctor, the type of test, ICD- 9 code and clinical indicators before calling (434) 929-9400 (ext. 2) to have your appointment set up.
  • at the outpatient imaging center:
    You will need a prescription from your doctor, the type of test, ICD- 9 code and clinical indicators before calling (434) 243-0321, the scheduling queue at UVA Imaging. This number is for all services at UVA Imaging outside of the medical center but if necessary you may be referred to the medical center.

How to get a copy of your reports or images

  • Completed at the UVA Medical Center:
    You will need to contact Image Management Services by calling (434) 929-9400 (ext, 3) or contact Health Information Services
  • Completed at the outpatient imaging center:
    Ask your physician for a copy of your report, we are happy to make a CD at any time if you call (434) 243 9198.

How to schedule an exam

  • at the Medical Center
    You will need to provide a prescription, the type of test, ICD- 9 code and clinical indications before calling (434) 929-9400 (ext. 2) to have your appointment set up. During that time you will be asked to fax this to the scheduler in order to complete the appointment.
    *Please note that the type of scans that may be altered in order to provide the best assessments based on clinical indications and diagnosis
  • at the outpatient imaging center
    You will need to provide a prescription, the type of test, ICD- 9 code and clinical indications before calling (434) 243-0321, the scheduling queue at UVA Imaging. This number is for all services at UVA Imaging outside of the medical center but if necessary the patient may be referred to the medical center.

How to obtain a copy of your patient’s report or images

  • Completed at the UVA Medical Center:
    The study results should be faxed to you after they are completed, in the case of a failed fax-mail you will be contacted by phone and the fax will re-attempted.
    In the case where this fax can not be completed or you have a new patient which can not provide you with a copy of their medical history, you will need to contact Image Management Services by calling (434) 929-9400 (ext, 3) or contact Health Information Services
