Fellowship Programs
About
The overarching goal of the Radiology and Medical Imaging Fellowship programs is to fulfill the mission of UVA Health: to provide excellence and innovation in the care of patients, the training of health professionals, and the creation and sharing of health knowledge.
Our fellowships are extensive and enable the fellow to accumulate a broad base of medical knowledge, develop progressively independent interpretive and technical skills under supervision, and become proficient at accurate clinical decision making and consulting. Teaching and research opportunities are tailored to the special interests and talents of each individual.
At the conclusion of the fellowship, the graduate will have the foundation to build an academic career in radiology and medical imaging, advance subspecialty knowledge and skills as an advanced clinical fellow or instructor, or enter community practice.
Top physicians come to the UVA School of Medicine from across the country—and around the world—to complete their Fellowship training in the subspecialty fellowships available in the Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging.
