Collins, PhD, DABR<\/strong> joined the Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging as a Diagnostic Medical Physicist in the fall of 2010, shortly after receiving her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia. As a graduate student she worked as a research assistant in the Department of Radiology, focusing on X-ray and nuclear medicine imaging of the breast and improved guidance techniques for breast surgery. Since joining the diagnostic physics group, Patty has broadened her scope of work to include general radiography, computed tomography (CT), angiography, fluoroscopy, and nuclear medicine. She is also actively involved in the Yittrium-90 microsphere program.
