Visiting Graduate Student BIMS School of Medicine.<\/p>\n

I study Biotechnology at Poznan University of Life Sciences, pursuing my Master\u2019s degree. I am interested in Epigenetics, animal and plant cell engineering and methods of genome editing. As a Visiting Graduate Student in Dr. Stefanie Redemann\u2019s Laboratory of Molecular Physiology and Biological Physics at UVA I am responsible for experiments of investigating mechanisms leading to aneuploidy in mammalian cells and comparisons of healthy and disease neurons in connection with affected microtubules in the axons and organelle transport.<\/p>\n

My master thesis title is \u201cOptimization of methods for silencing the expression\u00a0 of Schmidtea mediterranea genes using RNA interference\u201d, for which experiments I performed at the Department of Molecular and Systems Biology at the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of National Academy of Sciences in Poznan in Poland.<\/p>\n

As the Bachelor of Science (Engineer), my Engineer Thesis title was \u201cEvaluation of the possibility of using new bioactive compounds in anther culture of wheat\u201d, for which experiments I performed at the Department of Plants Genetics and Breeding at Poznan University of Life Sciences in Poland.<\/p>\n

In my free time I enjoy drawing, reading books, listening to rock and metal music and cycling. I am especially interested in Japanese culture.<\/p>\n
