{"id":10,"date":"2015-07-04T22:41:07","date_gmt":"2015-07-04T22:41:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cores.med.virginia.edutest-replo\/home\/"},"modified":"2021-06-22T14:52:50","modified_gmt":"2021-06-22T18:52:50","slug":"home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/med.virginia.edu\/research-in-reproduction\/","title":{"rendered":"Center for Research in Reproduction"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left\">The Center for Research in Reproduction at the University of Virginia has as a primary research focus the understanding and treatment of disorders of reproduction with a focus on the underlying mechanisms of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Research interests of the Center&#8217;s faculty range from basic research of transcription and feedback regulation (GnRH secreting neurons and pituitary gonadotropin cells) and ovarian and testicular pathophysiology, through clinical research into the roles of hyperandrogenemia (elevated androgen levels) and hyperinsulinemia (elevated insulin levels) in anovulation and infertility.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Research on PCOS in the Center for Research in Reproduction is funded through the National Institutes of Health under the P50 National Centers for Translational Research in Reproduction and Infertility (NCTRI).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">We invite you to browse this site for information on PCOS and current research studies open to volunteers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Center for Research in Reproduction at the University of Virginia has as a primary research focus the understanding and treatment of disorders of reproduction with a focus on the underlying mechanisms of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
