Sheynkman Lab
Laboratory of Proteoform Medicine
At the Sheynkman Lab, we study disease-relevant protein forms, or “proteoforms,” by integrating cutting-edge analytical and computational approaches from genomics, proteomics, and systems biology. This precision medicine approach is applied in a disease agnostic manner to elucidate proteoform-driven rewiring events in cardiovascular disease, neurological disorders, and cancer.

Gloria Sheynkman, PhD: Meet the Scientist Mapping a Million Proteoforms to Fight Disease
Sheynkman Lab Mission
At the Sheynkman Lab, we are working to found a new area of the “Disease Proteoform Systems Biology”, which is a systems biology approach to discover disease-driving “proteoforms” for therapeutic intervention. To accomplish this, we are integrating a unique set of cutting-edge analytical and computational approaches from human disease genetics, genomics, proteomics, and systems and network biology.
