Inayzha Wallace, MD
My name is Inayzha Wallace, and I was born and raised in New Castle, Delaware. I was introduced to the medical field early, as I completed my medical assistant certification in high school and then began my first job at my university’s Health Center. I studied biology at Towson University in Maryland. After graduation, I continued to work as a medical assistant for a year before starting medical school at the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine in Connecticut.
I completed a visiting rotation at UVA during my fourth year and immediately felt at home. The attendings were approachable and invested in teaching, and the residents were incredibly welcoming and supportive. I knew this was a place where I could thrive personally and professionally.
I feel truly fortunate to begin my training at UVA. I’m currently interested in pediatric surgery, and I am excited to grow in a program that values mentorship, collaboration, and academic excellence.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, visiting family, building Legos, and spending time at the beach!
