I first became acquainted to Charlottesville visiting my sister while she was in school at UVA and quickly realized Charlottesville was a great place to live. When one of my mentors in medical school suggested I consider the cardiothoracic training program at UVA I made my way down for a 4th year rotation. After spending a month here it was clear the operative experience, level of autonomy and overall environment was incredible and where I wanted to train. The last few years here has lived up to expectations.
