In addition to the decrease in opioid-related calls, BRPC notes a slight drop in THC-related calls.<\/p>\n<p>Visit:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/news.med.virginia.edu\/clinical\/uva-healths-blue-ridge-poison-center-sees-drop-in-opioid-thc-edibles-calls\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UVA Health\u2019s Blue Ridge Poison Center Sees Drop in Opioid, THC Edibles Calls \u2013 Clinical \u2013 Medicine in Motion News<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Holstege notes that changes in laws and state initiatives may be contributing to the decline in cases. He continues to be concerned about THC edibles being mistaken as candy by young children.<\/p>\n<p>For advice if someone is having an adverse reaction to opioids, THC edibles or any other substance, the Blue Ridge Poison Center is available 24 hours a day, every day: 1.800.222.1222.
