Our goals are to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Understand the biological aspects of substance abuse<\/li>\n<li>Provide medications that can help correct biological predispositions believed to increase the risk of addiction<\/li>\n<li>Teach behavior-changing techniques<\/li>\n<li>Decrease the cravings associated with substance abuse<\/li>\n<li>Work towards abstinence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Through our research, we hope to bring new knowledge to better understand the biological underpinning of addiction.
