Community Partners

Sin Barreras provides direct services to clients, runs workshops to provide resources and education (for both the Spanish and English speaking communities), and participates in advocacy initiatives that affect our clients. We also organize Cville Sabroso, the largest Latin American Heritage festival in central Virginia.

The mission of Creciendo Juntos is to provide a platform for the voices, needs, and wants of the Latinx community in Charlottesville and surrounding counties through education and leadership development. As agents of advocacy and equity, our volunteer network of individuals and organizations strive to strengthen Central Virginia by ensuring that all Latinx individuals have access to the opportunities they need to become resilient leaders in our community.

Through asset-based community development, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville is implementing a national model, neighborhood-driven redevelopment process at Southwood Mobile Home Park.  Built on the foundations of strong community identity and cohesion, Habitat is partnering with residents to design their own community and their own future.  Habitat will facilitate the holistic transformation of the neighborhood to meet the vision of the community and improve the quality of life for all its residents.

The Church of the Incarnation, a Roman Catholic Community in Charlottesville, Virginia, will be a parish in which each member is encouraged and enabled to discern and follow a path of personal spiritual development, growth, and transformation in Jesus Christ. This path will include participation in ongoing faith formation that includes prayer and study.

The mission of The Women’s Initiative is to provide women with effective counseling, social support, and education so they can transform life challenges into positive change and growth.

Blue Ridge Health District provides public health services to the residents of the City of Charlottesville, and the counties of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson.

The Charlottesville Free Clinic provides free medical and dental care and free prescriptions for working un-insured and under-insured adults in the greater Charlottesville community.
