PResTO - Pediatrics Resident Research Track Opportunities
The research track, or PResTO, is for residents with an interest in getting exposure to research during residency as time allows, and potentially incorporating research into their career. Some will have had research experiences before residency and others may be interested in exploring research for the first time. PResTO will be tailored to the needs of individual residents and will be mindful of the diversity of research backgrounds and current and future research interests. Residents can take advantage of PResTO and be on one of the other tracks.
PResTO residents will:
Be encouraged to submit an abstract for a regional or national meeting and, if accepted, attend the meeting
Present their research project at Children’s Hospital Research Day in second and/or third year
Consider writing a research manuscript or case report, time and data allowing
Meet with PResTO co-directors as they prepare for fellowship applications and interviews to tailor their “research story”
