The Department of Medicine’s Medical Education Team

The Department’s team of medical education administrators is a centralized team reporting to Joy Hilton, Director of Education. The team comprises 14 staff members who coordinate and manage our undergraduate and graduate medical educational programs, including our internal medicine clerkship and medical student elective rotations, internal medicine residency program, and numerous subspecialty fellowship programs. This skilled group of administrators, working collaboratively with their respective program directors and other education faculty, have responsibility for developing, overseeing, and improving our education programs, implementing changes based on the current accreditation requirements, and preparing for accreditation site visits and review by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Team members frequently manage the day-to-day operations of these programs and serve as essential liaisons with our learners, faculty, other staff, and oversight agencies.
