Final exercises are this weekend and we say farewell and congratulations to Janelle Weaver (Bayliss lab), who is earning her PhD. Earlier this year, Janelle receive the 2016 Outstanding Graduate Student Award and her research on Pannexin 1 channels in models of neuropathic pain was funded by a Ruth L. Kirschstein Predoctoral Fellowship from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke that she received in 2014. Truly a pleasure to have around, Janelle will be missed by many — please join us in wishing her well as she returns this fall to Medical School at UVA, where she is enrolled in the Medical Scientist Training Program.
