CARRII logoCARRII is an Internet Intervention to reduce alcohol-exposed pregnancy (AEP) risk. The program is an adaptation of the evidence-based CHOICES intervention modified to maximize feasibility, appeal, and impact on an established internet intervention framework.

The purpose of the study is to gather information to design a digital intervention (used on mobile phones, tablets, or computers) for Native American women that will help them avoid a pregnancy affected by alcohol (AEP). The study has two parts:  Survey and User Testing.

About The Study

This study involves answering a brief eligibility questionnaire online, one phone call with the study coordinator to confirm eligibility and to complete an electronic consent form, and answering questions in an online survey. The survey should take about 35 minutes to complete.

Participants will be randomized to use a preliminary intervention component for 6 weeks. These may include monthly telephone calls about drinking and contraception behavior; receiving monthly pregnancy tests by mail; access to digital training in safer sex and reduced drinking; access to text messages about safer sex and drinking reduction, or access to an anonymous community message board for social support.

Total compensation for participation is $100, paid by e-gift card. Compensation will be $25 for completing the baseline survey and $75 for completing the 6-week assessments.
