The mission of the Population Health and Cancer Outcomes Core (PHCOC) is to provide investigators with research support to conduct rigorous cancer population-based research to reduce cancer risk and support cancer care in survivorship, policy and implementation, as well as assistance in the collection of patient-reported outcomes data.
The services provided by PHCOC include:
- Large population data analysis including epidemiologic analysis, spatial analysis and visualization, econometric analysis, and ecological analysis
- Population health measurement and study design including psychometric analysis, survey instrument development, power analysis, complex survey data analysis
- Patient reported health outcome measurement and protocol design
- Economic evaluation including treatment effect analysis, causal inferences, cost-benefit/cost-effectiveness analysis, simulation, economic attribute-based survey design and analysis etc.
- Data management for restricted data sets
- Population-based cancer research expertise for consultation and collaboration to be included in grant proposals
