Congratulations to Dr. Xiaowei Lu, Associate Professor of Cell Biology, who has been awarded tenure effective July 1, 2016. Dr. Lu is nationally known for her work on planar cell polarity in the nervous system; much of her recent work has been directed toward understanding the morphogenesis of hair cells in the cochlea and the role of the cytoskeleton and signaling pathways. Xiaowei joined the faculty of the Department of Cell Biology in 2005.
