Adrian Halme, Associate Professor of Cell Biology, and Katia Sol-Church, Research Professor of Pathology, have recently received an Educational Fellowship Award from the UVa School of Medicine. Their proposal was titled: “Technical Rotations for Early Second-Year BIMS (PhD) Students to Promote Rigor and Reproducibility in Experimental Research”. The grant award will provide funded release time to develop a novel curriculum component that will focus on best research laboratory practices and reinforce the importance of scientific rigor and reproducibility in all aspects of a research project life cycle. This is the second time that Dr. Halme has received one of these awards.
