My research is focused on understanding the mechanisms of microbial infection and the host defense against pathogenic microorganisms, in particular through dissecting the role of BAI1, an adhesion G-protein coupled receptor (aGPCR), in phagocytic clearance of Gram-negative bacteria and the mechanisms underlying this innate immune response.
