Setting Boundaries in the Workplace: a virtual follow-up discussion

Presented by Evelyn Aboagye, MD, MPH, Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Co-chair of the COWIMS Advocacy and Awards Subcommittee; Anja Bielinsky, PhD, Professor and Chair of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics and Co-chair of the COWIMS Advocacy and Awards Subcommittee, and Monique Dufour, PhD, Director of Faculty Development.

Description/learning objectives: Join us for an interactive discussion following our 2025 spring workshop on “Boundaries in the Workplace”. How does the need for boundaries arise in your work? How might you want to be more skillful around setting and holding boundaries? What strategies have you found helpful? Please see the attached summary of the previous workshop. Whether or not you were able to attend, we invite you to continue our discussion and learn together. By the end of this learning activity, participants will be able to discuss strategies for evaluating professional service requests and describe ways in which they decide whether potential work assignments can be managed in a reasonable time frame or not, and how to best convey positive and negative responses. (1 CME credit)
