PGY1 Rotation/Call Schedule
The first year focuses on building a solid base in obstetrics and gynecology while learning to manage hospitalized patients, triage urgent concerns, and provide preventive, ambulatory care. Interns learn the basics of perioperative care and have early operative experience. Dedicated ultrasound and maternal–fetal medicine rotations introduce high-risk obstetrics and imaging fundamentals. Dedicated ambulatory time introduces preventive care and patient counseling skills.
