Supports: “grants to junior physician-scientists to facilitate their transition to independent clinical research careers.”
Size of award: three-year awards ($150K/year)
Eligibility: physician-scientist (MD or equivalent) conducting clinical research in any disease area; no citizenship requirement; must hold a full-time faculty level position not higher than Assistant Professor; have been appointed to their first full-time faculty level position within the previous five years (see URL for details)

Supports: “promising basic research into the underlying causes and processes that impair the lives of people who are developmentally disabled, particularly children, focusing on investigations by neuroscientists and cognitive scientists.”
Size of award: Four-year fellowships ($75K/year)
Eligibility: tenure track; not more than four years as an independent faculty position at the start of the award (the following summer); a record of research on developmental disabilities; evidence of a career in neuroscience or cognitive science.
Supports: “the independent research of outstanding individuals who have recently begun their first appointment at the assistant professor level, and whose appointment is a tenure-track position.”
