University of Virginia School of Medicine is led by Melina R. Kibbe, MD, Dean and Chief Health Affairs Officer. Dean Kibbe works with a leadership team composed of four Senior Associate Deans, a Chief Operating Officer and a Chief of Staff, as well as Clinical Department Chairs and Research Department Chairs, and Center Directors. The senior leadership team of the School of Medicine establishes the strategy and priorities in fulfillment of the school’s mission in an environment that celebrates the unique backgrounds, contributions, and opinions of each individual.
