Corina Marziano was awarded an AHA Predoctoral Fellowshihp titled: “Novel purinergic receptor-TRPV4 signaling in small pulmonary arteries”, which began on 7/1/17. While working in Dr. Sonkusare’s lab, Corina studies the role of TRPV4 channel-dependent endothelial calcium signaling in controlling pulmonary arterial pressure. With a focus on the regulatory mechanisms for TRPV4 channel function in pulmonary endothelium under normal condition and in pulmonary hypertension.
