Elizabeth Pereira was awarded an NIH F31 Ruth L. Kirchstein NRSA for Individual Predoctoral Fellows through the National Cancer Institute (NCI), which began on 7/1/17. Working in Dr. Kevin Janes’ lab in the Biomedical Engineering department, Elizabeth studies the role of a stress-induced transcription factor, NRF2, and its interaction with the tumor suppressor p53 in triple-negative breast cancer.
