Erin Weddle was recently awarded an NIH F31, an Individual Predoctoral Fellowship from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) which began on 9/1/19. Erin is a Microbiology degree candidate in lab of Hervé Agaisse. She is studying the cellular and molecular mechanisms that mediate vacuole escape and intracellular spreading during Shigella flexneri infection.
