27th Research Symposium 2015

The Department of Pediatrics will hold its 27th Annual University of Virginia Children’s Hospital Research Symposium on May 28. This conference provides a forum to share and celebrate research at UVA that improves the health of children. Please join us to learn about the extraordinary and diverse research by our faculty and trainees in basic science, clinical investigation, quality improvement and translational research.

Samir S. El-Dahr, M.D., Professor of Pediatrics, Physiology and Genetics at Tulane University School of Medicine and Jane B. Aron Professor will deliver the keynote address, ” Nephron progenitors: Genes, Environment and Epigenetics,” from 8:00-9:00 a.m. in the Jordan Hall Conference Center Auditorium. There will also be platform and award presentations, a poster session, and an opportunity to meet Dr. El-Dahr in a small group while discussing about “Transitioning to Independence in Scientific Research” open to residents, fellows, students, and faculty.
