Congratulations to our graduate student Saad Hussain on being awarded a prestigious Robert R. Wagner Fellowship to support his research. This fellowship was established in 1997 through the generosity of Bob and Mary Wagner with the goal of supporting graduate students in the basic sciences in the School of Medicine. Dr. Wagner’s notable contributions to UVA include his service as the first Chair of the Department of Microbiology and as the founding Director of the UVA Cancer Center.
