The Le Lab publishes their manuscript in the Journal of Clinical Investigation on KROX20 as a marker of a stem cell population that is required for hair formation and regeneration.

Co-authors Dr. Elnaz Ghotbi and Dr. Edem Tchegnon showed that the transcription factor KROX20 is a novel marker for an ancestral epidermal stem cell population in the hair follicle that is indispensable for hair homeostasis. Reactivation of Krox20-positive cells may one day offer an effective therapy for regrowing human hair.
