The Gioeli lab continues their work with the HemoShear platform to better understand complex cancer biology. The goal is to one day use these models to develop optimal treatments for specific individuals’ tumors. The collaboration with HemoShear [can] potentially be used to make new discoveries about how drugs work and which ones will be most effective, and can potentially be used for patient avatars. In essence, we could test how a patient’s tumor would respond to drugs, prior to that patient ever getting therapy,” said Daniel Gioeli, associate professor of research, microbiology, immunology and cancer biology.” Dr. Dan Gioeli
