Dr. JoAnn Pinkerton being awarded the 2022 SAAOG Lifetime Achievement Award

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is pleased and honored to announce Dr. JoAnn Pinkerton for being named the 2022 SAAOG Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. This award and lectureship honors and recognizes a member of the SAAOG (South Atlantic Association of Obstetricians & Gynecologists) for outstanding dedication and service to the medical profession in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Pinkerton, Division Director for UVA Midlife Health and Gynecologic Subspecialties, has been an active member of SAAOG, serving on the Executive Committee, Board of Directors, as a past Vice President in 2015 and later as President in 2016-2017. We commend her service and congratulate her on this very prestigious achievement.
We would also like to recognize and congratulate Dr. Carolyn Wilson as the new SAAOG president-elect.
