The UVA Department of Pediatrics and the UVA Children’s Hospital share a common goal to enhance the health and well-being of children and families through collaborative medical care, education of professionals dedicated to pediatric healthcare, breakthrough research that improves lives, leadership, and community service.

Our Pediatrics Residency Program and Pediatric Fellowships offer opportunities to train in a supportive environment in one of the most livable cities in the U.S. Our highly motivated residents and fellows choose UVA for its reputation and commitment to teaching and learning. With experts from multiple sub-specialties providing mentorship, students are prepared to confidently provide highly complex critical care.

Olivia's Story

We are on track to expand to 60 NICU beds and 25 PICU beds by the end of Summer 2024. Plans for further NICU expansion into the shelled space in the South Tower are ongoing with a successful launch of fundraising efforts in April 2024.
