Congratulations to Alex Keller, Pharmacology PhD Student in Brant Isakson’s Lab, who received an internship with the bioassays group at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals! Regeneron is a biopharmaceutical company located just north of New York City in Tarrytown, NY. This 3-month long internship is part of Alex’s training under UVa’s NIH-sponsored Biotechnology Training Program, and it provides him with a great opportunity to apply his pharmacology training while gaining hands-on experience in an industrial R&D setting. Alex reports that he is, “…excited to explore new frontiers in biomedical research and grateful for the opportunity to support Regeneron’s efforts to improve patient health” and we know he will represent the University well during his time at Regeneron. He embarks on this journey soon — so catch him before he goes and wish him well!
