George Souza, PhD, a scientist working in the labs of Dr. Stephen Abbott and Dr. Patrice Guyenet, was awarded a research recognition award by the American Physiological Society at the 2021 Experimental Biology conference. Dr. Souza’s work offers new insights into the role of the brain in the body’s response to blood loss. This is the second year running Dr. Souza’s work has been acknowledged with an award by the Society. Thanks APS and congratulations Dr. Souza!
