PHCOC 6AP

PHCOC’s vision is to become a leading core for population-based cancer research, and drive innovation and excellence in cancer population health science. We aim to transform cancer prevention, control, survivorship management and associated policies by providing cutting-edge research support in a collaborative environment that bridges the gap between data science and public health. Our ultimate goal is to reduce the cancer burden in our catchment area by enabling researchers to produce impactful, evidence-based insights and solutions.

Specifically, PHCOC aims to assist behavioral and social science researchers by providing:

  1. A comprehensive infrastructure of population-level cancer data to support rigorous cancer research and foster collaborations with clinical and basic science researchers.
  2. Expert statistical analysis for population-level cancer data in population-based research.
  3. Support for designing and implementing innovative cancer population studies, connecting results to broader population trends, and evaluating related programs and health policies.
