Biochemistry selects Iga Kucharska as the winner of the inaugural Gordon Hammes Scholar Award!

Dr. Iga Kucharska, formerly a postdoctoral scientist with the Tamm Lab was announced as the winner of the inaugural Gordon Hammes Scholar Award by ACS Publications, publishers of Biochemistry.  The Gordon Hammes Scholar Award seeks to honor the young scientists responsible for the very best papers published in Biochemistry.

From the announcement by Editor-in-Chief, Alanna Schepartz:
“Dr. Kucharska was selected from a large applicant pool on the basis of a Viewpoint she composed that highlights her first-author paper in Biochemistry entitled, “Molecular Interactions of Lipopolysaccharide with an Outer Membrane Protein from Pseudomonas aeruginosaProbed by Solution NMR.”

Dr. Kucharska will present a talk describing her research and receive her award during the Gordon Hammes ACS Biochemistry Symposium on Sunday, August 20, 2017, an exciting event organized for the 254th ACS National Meeting in Washington, D.C.”
