Clinical Focused Ultrasound Equipment

Theraclion Echopulse. The Theraclion Echopulse system is deployed clinically to provide partial thermal ablation of breast tumors and other solid malignancies. At UVA, it is used in clinical trials in combination with both immunotherapies and chemotherapies to activate immune responses against cancer.

Insightec Exablate Neuro. The ExAblate Neuro Model 4000 Type 2 (220 kHz) system is deployed clinically to transiently open the blood-brain barrier, allowing improved access of immuno- and chemotherapies to the brain.
