MRI and Molecular Imaging

Molecular Imaging Core. The Molecular Imaging Core images small animals and samples with a variety of modalities depending on the investigator’s needs. These modalities include MRI, X-Ray CT, PET, SPECT, luminescence, and fluorescence. They work closely with the Radiochemistry Core Lab which can synthesize custom, targeted PET and SPECT imaging agents. These molecular imaging resources are a central component of many research projects in the UVA Focused Ultrasound Cancer Immunotherapy Center.
