Introducing one of our very own,
Vanessa M. Shami, MD
Dr. Shami has strong ties to the University of Virginia, having attended medical school, residency and fellowship here. While she did extend outside of the state to attend the University of Chicago to focus on Interventional Gastroenterology, she completed her primary fellowship in G.I. at UVA.
Her clinical practice centers around cancers (such as colon and esophageal) and she is the current director of Endoscopic Ultrasound.
