Pathophysiological mechanisms and impact of cell state transitions

Research Description

Cell plasticity can be physiologic or pathological. Epigenetic effectors transmit environmental cues into chromatin remodeling and cell state transitions. We aspire to understand how their interplay shapes specific cell states. We also do translation research by targeting pathological cell plasticity to treat vascular disease or retinal degeneration.
