Capabilities and Mission

Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy provides information on molecular structure and dynamics at atomic level resolution. The UVa Biomolecular Magnetic Resonance Facility facilitates and promotes research which utilizes NMR spectroscopy to examine biologically important molecules. Assistance is available for all who wish to use NMR spectroscopy. Several laboratories at UVa have used the Biomolecular Magnetic Resonance Facility to solve research problems. They are listed in the People section of this site. The lab manager, Jeff Ellena, has 25 years of experience with application of NMR to scientific research.
