Research Description
In the United States, unelected bureaucrats routinely make important policy decisions, from setting the fuel standards for the cars we drive to determining whether the ?Plan B? morning-after pill will be made available at the local pharmacy. This project examines the effectiveness of political oversight?provided by the president, the Congress, and the courts?over these bureaucratic policymaking processes.
UNLEASH
Research assistants will be expected to conduct a variety of tasks, including coding court cases involving government agencies, conducting case studies, and managing large databases. Ideal for students interested in politics and/ or considering law school or careers in government.
