Faculty Profiles FAQ
Faculty Publications
Symplectic Elements is a database system that collects information about faculty activities and makes that information available for multiple uses, such as creating CVs and annual faculty activity reports.
Department heads and their designees have access to data on faculty in their respective department. Likewise, deans and their designees have access to data on faculty in their college, and the provost has access to data on all faculty. Assessment data is only available to designated reviewers, usually department heads or unit managers. Faculty can also delegate access to their profiles to their administrators.
Delegates and Administrators can view and edit others’ researcher profiles by “impersonating” them. They will be able to see records marked public and private. Click here for more information about profile privacy settings.
