Research Description
I joined this School of Nursing in August, 1995 as the Associate Dean for Academic Programs. My intent is to work collaboratively with faculty so that we might all achieve more than we thought possible. My background is Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nursing and clinical practice continues to ground my teaching and all aspects of my professional life. In addition to learning within this new position and new community, I have been involved nationally with the Society for Education and Research in Psychiatric Nursing (SERPN) since its inception and am currently working with Task Groups to complete a set of Curriculum Guidelines for Psychiatric Nursing and to complete analysis and interpretation of a national survey of Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nursing practices.
