Research Interests

I develop and test pragmatic psychological treatments to improve health behaviors. I use counseling interventions (such as Motivational Interviewing) and digital interventions (mHealth and eHealth) to improve behaviors, habits, health, and wellness.

Research Description

My goal is to help people improve their health and lives. We can overcome former challenges like distance using mobile interventions. I use technology to get psychological tools into people's hands. I study health habits and conduct trials of interventions with rural residents, people living with HIV, women who drink alcohol or use drugs, and people at risk for STIs and infectious diseases.
