Research Description
Mark R. Conaway, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Division of Translational Research and Applied Statistics in the Department of Public Health Sciences. Dr. Conaway's collaborative experience has ranged from the design and analysis of laboratory studies as well as multi-center clinical trials. Prior to joining the faculty at UVA, Dr. Conaway served as a faculty statistician in the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center and for the Prostate Cancer Committee of the Cancer and Leukemia Group B (CALGB), where he acquired considerable experience in multi-center clinical trials in oncology. Dr. Conaway's research interests include the development of efficient designs for early stage trials, methods for estimating reference centiles and the assessment of outcome measures for clinical trials.
