Research Description
The Epilepsy Clinical Trials Clinic conducts investigator-initiated clinical trials of anti-seizure medications and other interventions sponsored by foundations, NIH, or industry grants. The program concentrates on early phase clinical trials for pharmacokinetics, safety, and proof of principle, but later phase studies are also conducted. The Clinical Epilepsy Database collects clinical information that is available for research into seizure frequency, diagnostic testing, and outcomes research.
